Answer the following questions please

Question 5 (5 points) A researcher investigates whether ingesting chocolate affects mood. She recruits college students to take a mood inventory, ingest a quarter pound of chocolate and then complete the mood inventory again. Given the following confidence interval [2.34, 5.41] for the research design, make a decision about the null hypothesis that would be tested here. O Reject the null hypothesis and conclude that chocolate affected mood because zero, or no effect, does not fall within the confidence interval. O Reject the null hypothesis and conclude chocolate lowers affect because the confidence interval includes small numbers O Fail to reject the null hypothesis because the confidence interval is positive. Fail to reject the null hypothesis and conclude the effect size is small for this study Save

Explanation / Answer

Ans (a) Reject the null hypothesis and conclude that chocolate affected mood because zero or no effect does not fall within the confidence interval as we are taking the mean of mood effecting students if there is a certain value for the mean then there effects the mood and we took null hypothesis as chocolate does not effects mood.

14. ans (c) -2.132 and 2.132 at (16-1)=15 degrees of freedom at one tailed 0.05/2=0.025 level in t table
