Number of incident cases of diabetes that were there in the city in 2014
= Total population during the particular year given * Rate of incident during the same year given
= 4,560,226 * ( 59.88 / 100,000 )
= 2730.663
= 2731 approximately i.e. option D
B)
Percent of all cases in 2014 were newly diagnosed
= Total number of incident cases during the particular year * 100
Total number of cases identified during the same year given
= ( 2,731 / 16,784 ) * 100
= 0.1627145 * 100
= 16.27 %
