Therefore 200%(90) inches = 200/100(90) = 2*90 = 180in.

That means the precipitation is twice as normal

Statement 2 says that it is 200% above normal

That means 90+200% (90)=90+180 =270.this says that the precipitation is 180 inches above the normal 90 inches
