a) ( t^2 + 4) / t^2

is in lowest terms as it cannot be simplified further

we cannot further factor t^2 + 4

so no term would get cancelled from top and bottom

hence, it is in lowest terms

b) using algebra of adding fractions

(t^2 + 4 ) / t^2

can be written as

t^2 / t^2 + 4 / t^2

= 1 + 4/ t^2

but when again we take lcd as t^2

we will get the expression back ( t^2 + 4 ) / t^2
