Question
Dear Helper,
To start this out, I don't know who I'm sending this email to. Which means that I don't exactly know how I should address you. Therefore, I will call you my helper. I hope this does not offend you- very many people are extremely sensitive. All I know is that apparently, this website will help me on an algebra problem. My algebra problem is multipying Monomials. My algebra instructor has told me that in order to multiply the monomial, You must add the exponents ONLY if the numbers have the same base. My problem is, what if you are given an equation with real integers that have different bases? I also would like to ask another question. If you add the exponents, why is it called multiplication? I mean, I understand that you have to find the 'product' of a monomial, but I think you understand my Dilemma. Thank you for enjoying this prosperous time you took off to read about my extremely stupid questions. Just so you know, I'm not a complete cretin. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Please Reply. Thanks, again, Helper!
Sincerely, Crazy girl who sucks at math (:
