Question
Dear Chegg, I have following IR- and NMR-spectras and I wanna know what kind of functional groups and how many Carbons and hydrogens my unknown compound includes by using those spectras as shown down below (all those spectras are only for one compound and it's unknown):
1H-NMR spectra for the unknown compound:
(same 1H-NMR spectra, just zoomed in a bit on the peaks)
Thanks for reading and hope someone can help me step by step or with some good explanations that I can use for my report/assignment.
Explanation / Answer
By H-NMR spectra of your compound, iy shows 3 chemically equivalent proton sets corresponding to 5 protons and its C-NMR spectra produces 4 signals corresponding to 6 carbons. For better improvement/ appearence you should do phase correcetion of your C-13 spectra.
From IR, it is not providing any data regarding functional group presence in the molecule. But the spectra is not good, it may due to low quantity of the compound.
If you having any additinol information share with me, I can do my level best.
Best wishes.
