recall d = s / t where d is distance ,, sis speed and t is time. since the distance covered is to be the same and train B starts 12 passes the station 12 minutes ( 1/5 of anhour) later , we have the equation 120 / (t + 1/5 ) = 100 / t where t is the timewhen train B will catch up with train A so 120t = 100t + (1/5) 100 so 120t = 100t + 20 and 20t = 20 thus t = 1 so train B will catch up with train A in one hour which willbe at 11:10pm hope this helps
