y-1 = [(5-1)/(1+1)](x+1)

y-1 = 2(x+1)

y-1 = 2x+2

y-2x = 3

c) Option - (B)

This only passes through the given set of points

d) OLS line

= 0
Mean = 0
(X - Mx)2 = SSx = 10

Y Values
= 12
Mean = 2.4
(Y - My)2 = SSy = 47.2

X and Y Combined
N = 5
(X - Mx)(Y - My) = 20

Y = b0+b1x

b1 = Cov (x,y)/Var (x) = 20/47.2 = 0.423

b0 = My-b1*Mx= 2.4-0.423*0 = 2.4

Regression line is : Y = 2.4+0.423x

e) Option - (C)

Since, x=0 will point towards the value of 2.4

For (f) and (g)

Put x=-2 to 2 and obtain calculated y values

Then subtract these from actual y values for respective x and square them

The sum of these will give us the sum of squared residuals
