What is the overall “goal” of the graph? i.e. what conclusions did the author make based on the data presented in the graph? Provide enough background that your post and the graph itself are sufficient for another classmate to understand the original intention of the graph.

Explanation / Answer

The graph given here is of the estimated percentage change in population size,2015-2060.That is from the available information ,they estimated the population change that may happen in the time time period of 2015 to 2060 of the religion Muslim ,Hindu ,Christian,Jews,Folk religions,unaffliated,Bhuddhists and others .And they plotted in a graphically.So that it is very easy to understand to everyone than a numerical report.So the goal of the graph may be to know the population growth of religions.

From the given graph we can say that Muslims are the fastest growing religion(+70).Second most is Christians(+34) and Hindus are third one(+27).And the rate of growth of Bhuddhists is decreases .(-7 since the sign is negative ).And also we can say that Muslims are growing with a high rate compared to the others.Folk religion increases by 5%,Unaffliated increasres by 3% .Where as no such increase is reffered for other religions.

According to a common man graph is comparitively good than that of numerical results.So that every one can under stand the results simply by looking that.At the same time you should take care owhile preparing a graph,like the scale measures of graph ,variables for axis should be mentioned clearly.
