Given that-----

Now, avg of chapter tests = (90+75+85+100)/4 = 87.5

avg of Quizzes = (40+60+90+100+90+75+85)/7 = 540/7 = 77.14

Avg of Online Hw = (20+100+100+75+80+100+90)/7 = 565/7 = 80.71

Avg of Labs = (75+95+80)/3 = 250/3 = 83.33

(1) student's average going into the final = 0.45*(87.5)+0.15*(77.14)+0.10*(80.71)+0.05*(83.33)

= 63.1835

(2) Let x need to make on the final to earn B (80 or above)----

So, 0.45*(87.5)+0.15*(77.14)+0.10*(80.71)+0.05*(83.33)+0.25*(x) = 80

63.1835 + 0.25x = 80

0.25x = 80-63.1835

0.25x = 16.8165

x = 67.26

(3) Now, if he gets 75 in final examination then final avg----

0.45*(87.5)+0.15*(77.14)+0.1*(80.71)+0.05*(83.33)+0.25*(75) = 81.93

(4) Now, in total final avg 81.93, contribution of chapter tests is 0.45*(87.5) = 39.375

So percentage weightage = (39.375/81.93)*100

= (.48059)*100

= 48.06 %
