initially rate of consumption = slope of graph

slope = (200000 - 0)/(0 - 8) = -25000

Now given that rate of consumption is same.

barrels increased = 25000

total barrels = 225000

(y - y1) = (-25000)*(x - x1)

y - 225000 = -25000*x + 25000*0

y = -25000*x + 225000

when reserves end y = 0

y = -25000*x + 225000

25000*x = 225000

x = 9 months
