THE ANSWORE SHOULD BE NUMBERAS NOT WORDS ONLY!

State the order ofthe given ordinary dinerential equation. Determine whether the equation is linear or nonlinear by matching it with (G) in section state the order of the given ordinary drierential equation. Determine whether the equation is linear or nonlinear by matching it with (G) in section State the order ofthe given ordinary dinerential equation. Determine whether the equation is linear or nonlinear by matching it with (G) in section state the order ofthe given ordinary d equation. Determine whether the equation is linear or nonlinear by matching it with (G) in section

Explanation / Answer

Order: The order of a differential equation is defined as the order of highest order derivative in the given differential eequation.

(a)

The order of highest order derivative is 2. So, it is 2nd order differntial equation.

On comparing with (6) we find that the given differntial equation is linear differential equation.

(b)

The order of highest order derivative is 2. So, it is 2nd order differntial equation.

Since the power of y is 5 so it is non linear differential equation.

(c)

The order of highest order derivative is 2. So, it is 2nd order differntial equation.

Since the derivative has power 4, so it is non linear differential equation.

(d)

The order of highest order derivative is 3. So, it is 3rd order differntial equation.

On comparing with (6) we find that the given differntial equation is linear differential equation.
