As we rub the rubber rod with wool the rubber rod gets some extra electrons.These electrons come from the woolen cloth.As we rub them together the frictional energy supplies enough energy to the wool electrons to cross over from wool to rubber rod.As rubber rod comes after wool in Triboelctric series rubber takes electron and becomes negative and wool gives elecrtron to become positive.
