Explanation / Answer

logarithmic functions are opposite of exponential functions and vice - versa

suppose an exponential function is

y = b^x

so we can change this to logarithmic form by using log

log y = x log b

lets take a numerical exmaple

6^3 = 216

this is an exponential equation

this can be written in logarithmic form as

log 6 216 = 3

the base of exponent in exponnetial form becomes base of log in logarithmic form

so they are opposites of each other
