Question
Spinal Cord Injuries t believe that it can be very hard to deal with spinal cord injuries. While there is loss of bodily functions such as breathing or toilet control, there is often things such as difficulty moving, decreased sexual function, and pain(1). These things, according to a study I found, can cause a suffering person to feel much sadness, often correlating to the degree to which one or more of the symptoms are present(1). Sometimes these injuries can occur from impact sports(3). I believe we could reduce the number of spinal cord injuries by not focusing on high impact sports as much as we do. For example, instead of having football being such a concentration here in America, perhaps we could focus on a less impact-driven sport, such as soccer, or baseball. I'm sure injuries happen in these sports as well, I used football because of the example of every play ending in a full body contact tackle, typically. The pain generated by a spinal cord injury is not worth what the sports are, in my opinion. The pain resulting is often chronic, which are also then directly correlated to depressive symptoms, perceived stress, and self-health(2). This often leads to a lower quality of life for those afflicted(e). I have seen the movie Murderball, about the rivalry between the US and Canada leading up to the 2004 Paralympics. It is about wheelchair rugby players, and it is an excellent sometimes we take competitiveness too far, in that these people, while very excellent at what they do, and very ambitious, are risking ntarylmovie. That being said, I feel that it furthers my point that r bodily harm by competing in a sport that is already typically known for it's brutalityExplanation / Answer
See it's true that sports like football causes spinal cord injury which is truly highly detrimental to the patient.but stopping football or abanding it is never a solution to combat or prevent the spinal cord injury.infact soprts injury are not the most common cause of spinal cord injury.the most common cause of spinal cord injries are road traffic accident and no matter which sports we abandom,we cant stop accidents.we can take prevebtive measures in every aspects what causes the injury,be it sports, road traffic accident ,fall from height or whatever it is .sports are not just for entertainment purposes .these now represent the proud of a nation and now winning is considered more important than playing with a sportsman spirit and this is the reason sometimes planned injries may occur in some kind of sports but still abanding any sport is not a solution.solutiin is development of sprtsman spirit, and proper preventive measures to tackle all this and managenman if something mishappening still occur
