Question
Ok this is a diagram of a ball being dropped onto an inclined plane. In the original problem, alpha was 36.86 degrees. Two questions: Is my geometry correct? Does the rebound velocity always make the same angle as the incline? If not, please explain. I ask that because if the incline was at 80 degrees, I dont think the rebound v would make an 80 degree angle from the plane. Please explain this and please have a good understanding of this because I have received different answers and dont know who is correct.

and also your geometry is correct except for the angles of rebound, change the direction of v to some oblique angle instead of horizontal and you are good to go. Thank you
