Question

Ok it's solving fractions using the order of operations.

The Problem: (3/7 -1/4)2 divided by (1/2 - 3/4)

What I did: 3/7 = 12/28

- 1/4 = -7/28

= 12 - 7/28 = 5/28

Then I solved the next part: 1/2 = 2/4

-3/4 =-3/4

= 2 - 3/4 = -1/4

So when I got to combinding the two parts of my problem I got confused and did this:

(5/28)2 divided by (-1/4)

5/28 = 25/784

25/784 x 4/-1 (I asked myself how many times does 4 go into 784 and my answer was 196.

leaving me with: 25/196 x 1/1 = 25/196 . So is this answer correct? if not explain why please and thanks

Explanation / Answer

No answer would be in negative sign.

(25/784) /(-1/4) = -25/196

You missed negative sign
