Question

Transformer #2 has two 120Vac coils, and a single 50Vac coil and a single 9Vac coil. However, with some thought, voltages other than 120Vac, 50Vac, and 9Vac can be produced by proper connections of the 4 coils, paying attention to the relative polarities of the coils. The data collected from transformer #2 provides some hints as to how this can be done. Using that data, and assuming you have only a 120Vac source to power the transformer, identify all the possible output voltages available from the transformer.

Explanation / Answer

since the rated voltage is provided to the primary side, the same rated voltage i.e. 50 and 9 V will be on secondary side

so outputs which can be taken are
50V , 9V, 59V and 41V

further connecting the primaries of both transformers in series and supplying, 120 V ac power to one - one end terminals of both primaries we can further have voltages

25V, 4.5V, 29.5V, 20.5V
