3. A huge grouper lived under a dock at the marine lab in the Florida Keys where I used to work. It barely moved even if someone jumped in the water or a boat went by. One day however, we witnessed it dart out and snag another fish. The speed at which it did this was startling. It then retreated to its spot under the dock. What muscle composition would you expect this fish to have? Why? (6 pts)Explanation / Answer
3.The grouper fish is not designed for long distance travel,it has a larger percentage of fast twitch muscle fibres compared to slow twitch muscle fibres. The fast twitch muscle fibers are known for their fast response and they get fatigued at a much faster rate than slow twitch muscle fibers.
