i) Describe the shape and extent of the clouds

(ii) What is the approximate elevation of the cloud. This is needed in order to classify the cloud. If you recognize the type of cloud you may be able to estimate its height.

(iii) Classify each cloud and write down its name

(iv) Stand in an open area and look up at the entire sky (360 degrees). What percentage of the sky is covered by cloud. You should be able to estimate to the nearest 5-10% (e.g. 10%, 25%, 40%, 75% etc.)

(v) Is this a rain bearing cloud? How can you tell?

1)it has different shapes,clouds are form when air is asturated and cannot hold anymore water vapour this can happen two ways. one is the amount of water in the air has increased and other is the air is cooled its dew point extention of clouds upto20,000ft 2) the approximate elevation of the cloud is 20,000fts.By using the colour and texture of the cloud we can tell that the height.we know that due to temperatures effects the clouds colour.For example high level clouds are formed by ice crystals due to low temperatures3)clouds are classified according to their heights and appearance,high ,mid and lowlevel 5)if cloud contain water it does not reflect the white light,so it will be dark.4)The amount of cloud cover is estimated by satellite data,cloudiness calculated by counting the number of cloudy pixels on the satellite image
