Explanation / Answer

1) the amount of moon that is lit up changes from night to night because when the moon is between earth and the sun the little side is hidden from us. And when it moves around earth , more and more of the lit side comes into view. During the crescent phases the percent illuminated is between 0%-50% and during gibbons phases it is between 50%-100%

2)position of the moon in the sky changes over a course of single night because the inclination of the moon at any location varies throughout the night. For examale from the UK the terminator in a half moon is sloping from top left to bottom right early in the evening but later on as the moon is setting it is sloping from top right to bottom left.

3)position of the moon in the sky changes night to night because it depends what time of day you are looking at the moon. It changes positi n because the earth is spinning. It takes 24 hours for the earth to spin once around which means that from our point of view it looks like sky and everything in it Is moving around us once per 24 hours.

4)yes our observation can be made at day time this is because there is a misconception that the moon is only seen at night. Quite the contrary the moon is visible most days of the month . It' just more likely to be close to full therefore more noticeable when it's out at night.
