Explanation / Answer
1) the method work on the simple principle of radioactive decay. in this decay, the substance which we need to date is emit certain isotopes which are radioactive in the nature. this isoptopes of carbon is known as the carbon-14 isotopes. when these radiactive isotopes get emiited the detector trap them and count them. after count and caliberate it tell us the year of the substance.
2) it is used to detect the metarial which are organic in nature and have the isotopes of the carbon 14 in it which is the radiactive isotopes of the carbon compound. the organic and the earth material can be used to date with this method and the rest material cannot be done by this because either they are dead, inorganic or have lost all the carbon-14 isotopes.
3) the dating aid have developed a record of the climate by the virtue of which we can able to control and measure the climatic changes and can establish a relation between the resources along with the climatic and the quaterneary events. these give us the synthesization of the material their devlopement and the complete records of the evolution which have been take place in the years to formulate that substance which have c-14. this can check the temperature rise
4) yes there is a limitation of these which are-
=>it cannot be able to measure the substance for c-14 which are too old as 50000-60000 years old.
=>the substance which is not opt to be a carbon isotopes holder are not suitable to date with this method.
5) the significance of the result is that we can understand the ages of the resources and can check as well as regulate the temperature rise of the planet in the global level.
