Explanation / Answer

1) Environmental justice is a term made up of two words. Environmental is an adjective used to describe this particular justice. The world environment refers to the surrounding in which a person lives in and be safe , healthy in order to thrive and moreover justice is a treatment, fair way of handling issues. The EPA uses these definitions in which everyone is equal with whatever consequences. In order to be fair, everyone must be able to have some part in decision making and be able to express concerns. It involves place , time and perspective , where distribution matters. This occured due to low income and minority group being more vulnerable to environmental risks and the EPA was not through with their inspections.

It leads to a social and activist movement that brought together citizens and scholars to globalize issue's. Some issues were the lack of access to public information about environment matters. For example , poor communities were more subjected to polluting landfills and lesser public infrastructure. However environmental justice calls for responsible use and protection too. There should not be any oppose when environmental decisions are made. Reverent benjamin chavis advocated for eventual racism as part of the environmental justice movement and this idea extended to disclination housing, land , employment, knowledge etc.
