Explanation / Answer

Intelligence can decrease with age but actual years ofeducation can not. In the past, women started families rather than going tocollege and continuing with their education. In 2005 those women were mostly older than 50. In the past couple decades, most women who graduate highschool will go to college, and maybe grad school after that. So, younger women acquire more years of education.
