49) Earth’s ____________________ occur in regions where Earth’s magnetic field lines intersect its atmosphere, as a result of collisions between charged particles and air molecules.

50) The Jovian planets are much larger than the terrestrial planets because they formed beyond the ____________________.

51) Small moons that keep the material in narrow rings from spreading apart are called _________________________.

Explanation / Answer

48) Lithosphere = It is the upper most solid part of the crust and the upper mantle just above the asthenosphere, it is composed of the continental and the oceanic crusts.

49) Aurora = It is known as the polar lights, northern and the southern lights which are formed due to the intersection of the magnetosphere and the solar winds which results in the precipitation of the charged particles electrons and the protons in the upper atmosphere which causes this light.

50) Frost line = This is the line which means that beyond this line the temperature is very low which causes condensation of water into ice totally but before this line the temp is that much which causes the `H2O to persist in all the three phases solid , liquid, and vapour.

51) Shepherding moon =  It is a small natural satellite , which has the tendency to clears a gap in planetary-ring material or also to keeps the particles within a ring . It herds the ring particles in such a way which resembles as shepherd.
