Both of these averages pertain to adults only; everyone is over the age of 18. Also the distributions are independent of each other. There is 30.48 cm in one foot. If I wanted to convert all the male heights to feet I would need to divide each height in cm by 30.48 cm to get the desired height in feet. Suppose we converted all the measurements to feet.
