4) Iron is too reactive to exist alone so it occurs naturally in the earth crust as Iron ore and it is formed from the combination of iron and oxygen in marine and fresh water, mostly it occurs in the form of hematite ,magnetite and siderite.
5) Iron is the most common element in the universe, it can be found in meteorites and comets , It is the most abundant element in the earth crust by weight and it is found both in inner and outer core. Though earth is abundant in iron but Mars has proportionally more iron than earth.
