1. Biovolcanology is a term coined by scientist Yevgennii Markhinin. It describes the interrelationships beween volcanoes and biology.

2.Hyperthermophilic environments are those environments which are extremely hot, with temperatures of minimum 60 degree Celcius. 80 degree Celcius is the optimum temperature of hyperthermophilic environments.

3. Ways in which carbon dioxide can be sequestered or removed from the atmosphere:

Post combustion process- Chemicals are used to scrub the exhaust gases produced by the power plants.

Pre combustion process- Coal is converetd to a clean-burning gas. As a result, carbon dioxide is produced. This carbon dioxide is removed.Thus, this technique is done before the furnace is used.

Exhaust gas and pure carbon dioxide are obtained when coal is burned by oxyfuels in a pure-oxygen rich atmosphere.

4. Sulfur sequestration: Upon adding olivine, water/seawater, H2S and air. As a result, magnesium sulfate brine is obtained. It is thermodynamically stable and also, benign.
