Kilo: A geek word, means a decimal unit in metric system means a thousand. 103.

Example

1 kilo litre is 1000 litres

1 kilo gram is 1000 grams

1 kilo meter is 1000 meters

....

Similarly,

Micro means multiplying by a factor of 10-6

Greek letter ? denotes micro

examples:

bacteria size is 1 to 10 micro meters in length

micro organism will be of dimension 1 to 100 micro meters

Nano means 10-9 multiplying factor

n denotes nano

Examples

Generally time or length denoted in nano fractions.

1 nano meter is the length by which a finger nail grows in 1 second.
