Question

can you solve this Q please with steps

For Problems 11 and 12, you do not need to solve the initial- value problem, just set it up. 11. A tank has a capacity of 400 gallons. Initially it contains 100 gallons of water with 25 lbs. of salt in solution. Water containing 2 lb. of salt per gallon flows in at a rate of 5 gallons per minute. The well-mixed tank water is allowed to leave the tank at a rate of 4 gallons per minute. Set-up (but do not solve) an initial-value problem to determine the lbs. of salt in the tank at any time prior to the instant when the solution begins to overflow. 12. (6 points) A 2 kg mass stretches a spring 0.2 m. The mass moves in a medium that imparts a viscous force of 8 N when the speed of the mass is 2 m/s, and it is acted on by an external force of 5 cos(t) N. The mass is set in motion from its equilibrium position with an initial velocity of 1 m/s. Set-up (but do not solve) an initial-value problem to describe the motion of the mass.
