The constellation Orion contains a total sum of 81 stars, of which the two major brightest stars (Rigel and Betelgeuse)

2. STAR: BETELGEUSE

Betelgeuse is the largest star in the constellation, which is 1000 times the radius of the sun. This red giant star is the eighth brightest star in the sky and is approximately 643 light years distant.

3. STAR: RIGEL

The brightest star in the constellation is Rigel, which is 40,000 times brighter than the sun. Rigel is around 800 light years from earth. This particular blue giant is the sixth brightest star in the sky.

4. THE GREAT NEBULA: IN THE CONSTELLATION ORION

The Orion nebula which is also termed M42 is one of the brightest nebulae, which is even visible to naked eye in the night sky. The Orion constellation that we see has an emission nebula which in fact known as Orion nebula and is about 1,350 light years away in the Orion constellation.

5. CONSTELLATION: TAURUS
