B) UV radiations are needed for the formation of atmospheric ozone.
Explanation - UV breaks down an oxygen molecule into two oxygen radicals. This radical further reacts with another oxygen molecule to form an ozone molecule.
Ans 2) The surface temperature of the sun is 5778 K. The average surface temperature of the Earth is around 288 K. The difference represents the state of the two bodies. Continuous nuclear reactions in the sun is causing such a high temperature. On the other hand, the Earth's surface is relatively cooler. All the nuclear reactions are confined to the core.
Ans 3) If all the green house gases would be removed from the atmosphere, then the Earth would go back to another ice age.
