What Rule can you discover that allows you to find the limit for any problem like those above?

If example 3 had been written as what issue would have arisen? What does that mean for the limit?

Rule discovered:

If teh value of f(x) at the limiting value of x exists, then we can find it by directly putting x in the expression for f(x).


The problem in lim(x->-5) (x-2)/(x+5) is that at x=5, denominator becomes 0, thus f(x) becomes infinity, so limit doesn't exist.
