As the orting region are also the nearby area which are under the affect of moderate lahars with reccurrence time of 100-500 years. Hence, this region are not only in danger by lahars affect but also suffer from water contamination as the eruptive particles are mixes with surrounding rivers and contaminate the water.
The government also taking the preventions steps such as lahar warning systems, seismic detection etc so that the loss of lives and property can stop.
