1. No pi and cAMP are not same. Pi is inorganic phosphate and cAMP is cyclic adenosine monophosphate. Pi is formed as atp is broken down into adp and another phosphate molecule. Whereas cyclic amp would be synthesised with adenylate cyclase which would serve as a secondary messenger.
Adenylate cyclase gets activated through the G protein coupled receptors, which act as the signaling molecule. This is a derivative of atp and would be used in the transductioN pathways. As cAMP gets decomposed, it gets converted to adenosine monophosohate. This takes place by the enzyme phosphodiesterase.
There is one phosphate group, atteached ro ribose along with adenosine present in a cyclic structure.
