Explanation / Answer

Ans A) a) Xylem transports sugars from the roots to the leaves

Their are two major vascular tissues in the plat : Xylem and phloem.

The xylem is responsible to carry water and minerals which are absorbed by the roots , to all the parts of the plant. The phloem is composed of still-living cells that transport the sugars from the leaves of the plant (where they are made by photosynthesis) , to the other parts of the plant where it can be utilised or stored.
