The decision tree outputs are as below:-

Of the 3 investment opportunities real estate investment is highly risky whereas Just hats business is of medium risk and Investment in municipal bonds is low risk investment As per the thumb rule hish risk means high returns and low risk means low return. As per the prdiction from the expert the posteriior probabilities considering real estate business and just hats business we have 45% chance of both real estate and just hats business to be favourable with 0.75 probability for real estate and 0.9 probability for Just hats So it makes sens for the investor to go ahead with the Just hats business which have high chances of success than real estate High/Favorable NPV: $3.4 million for just Hats business along with 0.4 million(i.e. additional 0.2 million invested in municipal bonds) so totalling to 3.8 million $ Note:-For computing the decision tree we just need to multiply the probability of favourable or unfavourable with the NPV,to arrive at final value.
