Nucleotide Composition; If you are given the % composition of one nucleotide in any organisms genome, you should be able to calculate the % composition of the other three.
How to go about this? Any examples? Nucleotide Composition; If you are given the % composition of one nucleotide in any organisms genome, you should be able to calculate the % composition of the other three.

Explanation / Answer

C = G and A =T in quantities respectively.

Cytosine and Guanine have same percentage.

Adenine and Thymine have same percentage.

If 15% of the nucleotides in a DNA molecule contain guanine, what percentage of the nucleotides contains each of the other 3 bases?

15%-cytosine,

35%-adenine,

35%- Thymine
because there is the same amount of cytosine as guanine and so there is only 70% left, which if you split in half is 35 each because they are also the same amount
