My area of strengths as a collaborative leader are: Firstly, i often ensure that the people are being developed properly. I follow this up by regularly defining my role as a coach, as a guide and as a mentor. Secondly, i regularly provide different opportunities to the people be it related to learn new skills or be it related to leadership. This helps other people at becoming more successful at their jobs. Thirdly, i often leverage the advantages to learn from new experiences. Lastly, i regularly ask the people whom i coach and mentor to define their expectations. This helps me in guiding them in a realistic manner.
My areas of improvement: Firstly, i will have to more regularly develop a mix of people i.e people coming from different segments of the population. Secondly, i will have to more regularly develop a coaching plan that is developed on a mutual basis between me and the person whom i will be coaching and mentoring. This will enable establishing the criteria for success in a pragmatic manner.
