The following are the 3 federal laws that regulate the agricultural field . Laws of Food and drug adminstration , Environmental agency and Animal and plant health inspection service (APHIS) regulate the Client's onsite operations. The Animal and plant health service provides certain laws that should be followed by the agricultural /industrial unit so that the plants that are under study are not affected by pests and diseases. APHIS also regulates genetically engineered plants and denote them as 'Regulated articles'. APHIS denotes a particular plant a pest depending on their own set of rules like the gentic material must be properly regulated , the function of a foreign genetic material must be known , the procedure should not create new plant virus etc.. If the plant - regulated articles must be shipped , the company should get proper permission prior to shipping. Environmental protection agency's (EPA) act Federal insecticide , fungicide and Rodenticide ,regulates the use of pesticides in the agricultural companies. New pesticides synthesised must be approved by EPA before it is marketed. Federal facility complaince act provides certain regulations for waste disposal from the industries. Under this Resource conservation and recovery act states the method of handling waste disposal. Violations in the waste disposal act is a punishable offence under resource conservation and recovery act. Rules under Resource conservation act include Harzardous waste management program, solid waste management and under ground storage tank program. There are also certain programmes in Resource conservation act , so that the waste materials can be recycled. The food and drug administration act regulates the production of food items that is prouced in the industry. The act under this agency called food and drug administration centre for food safety and applied nutrition regulates synthesis of preservative and additives. Under this act violation of rules is a punishable offence under the act of section 409 , for adultration .
