1. DNA is Deoxy ribonucleic acid in which genetic information is stored. Chromosomes are the structures in which DNA is compactly packed. Genes are the unit of DNA which are able to synthesize complete protein. Alleles are the alternative forms of a gene on homologous chromosomes. And the producg formed by the expression of DNA is called protein.

2. DNA is generally exist in Double stranded form and both strands are coiled around a common axis called double helical structure of DNA. Double helical model of DNA was given by Watson and Crick in 1953.DNA is composed of repeating unit called deoxyribonucleotides and each deoxyribonucleotide is composed of a sugar molecule, a nitrogen base and a molecule of phosphoric acid. Phosphoric acid and sugar make the backbone and nitrogen bases are present inside the backbone and base paired by H-bonds.

3. Trancription is the process of encoding genetic information from dsDNA molecule into ssRNA molecule. RNA is synthesized by the enzyme RNA polymerase which is DNA dependent RNA polymerase and uses DNA as templete.

4. Translation is the process of decoding the information into mRNA in the form of Protein. Mature mRNA is processed to obtain protein. mRNA is bound with Ribosome and specific tRNA carries the Amino Acids according the codons on mRNA and synthesize the protein.
