Explanation / Answer

Knowingly or unknowingly , the human's behavior are based on some logical interpretations. It is the nature of humans to behave in certain way.

Before the evolution of the principles of management also, there existed certain chemistry between the people. However as time passed and the revolutions began, certain intellectuals studied certain areas and came to a conclusion based on the facts of study. So, the principles of management are more- so based on the the human psychology.

Maslow-McGregor is also one such predominant theories of management. Just because McGregor's theory evolved after the Maslow's, it does not mean that he disagreed to Maslow's theory.

The human behavior varies with how much he is satisfied about themselves. Maslow's theory centers around an individual person, person. He classifies the whole world into two class of human behavior - one that is "manager" and the other one "to be managed". He also classified the "Managed" group to be Theory X, and the "Managers "to be Theory Y people.

All the passive qualities were attributed to the theory X people ; while the theory Y people were having the most adorable gay characteristics.

But, are they so? No.. could not be..not all people who are at the one side are same. Another thought to be given here is that the humans are also subject to change on account of many external or internal factors just like game theory. The behavior of theory X people also might change into the behavior like Y by giving right motivation, direction and education.

Another point to be pondered is that the same person might behave differently in different situations. This is the very difficult scenario to be handled.

Above all, in this era of rapid technological innovations and competitive environment, there hardly exists any theory X people.
