Question

1) Looking at the signlaling pathway for myofibroblast differentiation, are there any compounds that can act as inhibitors? what part of the pathway does the inhibitor affect and what would the results of inhibition be?

2) describ a western blot. Tell us what it is used for, how it works and what we would expect to see for our westerns and the significance of stripping and blotting for GAPDH. Also include the significance of having a protein ladder.

3) describe immunoflourenscene. tell us what this technique is used for, how it works, and the reason one would use this technique instead of western blotting

Explanation / Answer

Ans-1- there may be various inhibitor which may inhibit the signaling pathway of fibroblast diffrentiation . Peroxisime proliferator activator receptor gamma or PPAR is one of the inhibitor which inhsibit the signaling pathway of myofibroblast differentiation. It blocks the Akt phosporylation of the myofibroblast by producing some analogue which help in inhibiting the signaling.
