Four stages

1. Homeostasis stage

Here vasoconstriction takes place to form a clot and reduce the bleeding at wound site

2.inflammatory stage

It prevent regeneration of the wound , after homeostasis blood vessels are again dilate and allow the cells to participate in wound healing process cells like antibiotics enzymes wbc and rbc etc..

3.proliferative stage

Here new translation formed by composed college and extracellular matrix.then epithelial cells are resurace and it called as epithelisation

4.maturation stage

It occur once the wound is closed. here remodelling of college forms and cellular activities are reduce .wound is completely healed.

Wet to dry sterile saline change

Step 1 : hand hygiene is performed and get concern from the patient and also informed about the dressing

Step 2: remove the of dressing and watch for any redness swelling bleeding is occur or not.

Step 3 : after removing the old dressing , clean the wound with saline gently .Don't rub the wound.in some cases rinse the wound and also clean the dead tissues from the wound and also drain the exudate if necessary

Step 4: after cleaning should apply the iodoform gauze in the wound site and close with it in wet saline around the wound

Step 5; do an documentation of nature of the wound and inform to the physician
