Normal Tasmanian devil flies have red eyes. Two mutant flies have been found one has yellow eyes and on has orange. A cross between a red eye fly and a yellow eye fly result in offspring with all red eyes. When orange eyed flies are crossed with yellow eyed flies the F! generation is all red eyed flies. when the F1 generation of the orange X yellow cross is self crossed the offspring have the following phenotypes; 205 red eyed flies, 61 yellow eye flies and 59 orange eyed flies.
