Additionally, your internship/externship employer should have provided you with an employee manual that outlines the organizational policies and procedures. An important part of any employee manual is the organization’s policy statement on culture and diversity. If your internship/externship employer does not have a policy statement with regard to culture and diversity, you will need to analyze the organization's position on culture and diversity based on your experiences and observations.
Answer the following questions about your experiences and observations at your internship/externship organization with regard to cultural literacy in personal and professional environments:
What are some basic dimensions that describe the cultural orientation of your externship employer organization?
What are some of the major characteristics of diversity in your externship employer organization?
What privacy issues impact stakeholders in your externship employer organization?
Based on your observations, are there motivational differences between employees across cultures in your externship employer organization?

Respecting other culture depends on nature of the employees and policies of the organisation which should be mandatorily followed by employees.
Communicate and adopt across cultures
In order to communicate and adopting across culture should be done with the following steps:
Impact of actions on you and others
If an organisation does not address diversity issues, then it would have to face survival problems.For example:
If employees adopt discrimination or some other practice that is against the firm's diversity policy, it would surely affect the employee as well as the organisation's performance.
Aware of the value of and limitations
Before adopting any diversity practices, firms should carefully measure its values as well as limitations. My extenal organisation also addressed it. Awareness of values and limitation helps one to have the optimum benefits of the diversity policy and also helps to minimize the risks.
