RNR 2102 class Convert these measurements as specified a. 51.3 miles to kilometers. b. 50 m3 per ha to cubic feet per acre. c. 1500 cu.ft. per acre to cubic meters per hectare. d. 500 trees per ha to trees per acre.

How do you convert these? Please show all work. My teacher got 0.3048m for A but not sure where this came from and how he got it. The same for B he got 35.314 ft^3 so he could convert the measurement but not sure how he knew to do that. If any one can help that would be great. I have an exam tommorrow and need to be able to do this or any other kind of questions he throws at me like this. Thanks!

a)1 mile== 1.609km

51.3 miles = 51.3 x 1.609 =82.559km (0.3048m is incorrect, it is 0.3km and 0.186 miles)

b) 1m3/ha= 14.2913 cubic feet per acre. ( 1 m3 = 35.314ft3 and i ha = 2.471 acre, if you multiply these values with numerator and denominator you will get the corresponding values)

50m3/ha= 50 x 14.293= 714.567 cubic ft/acre

c) 1 cubic foot/ha = 0.699m3/acre

1500 cubic foot/ha= 1500x0.699=104.958m3/acre

d) 1 ha = 2.47 acres, therefore if there's 500 trees per ha, there will be 500/2.47 trees per acre= 202.42 trees per acre.
