1 The Veitas rating of a transformer is commonly referred to as the "transformer size". 2 Why don't electric utility companies install all their electric facilities underground?-Lhaperh intell fotke, abr., The independent source voltage divided by the source impedance at any point in a circuit is called the short ciait Cwre 4 What is the current described in question 32 avlalle bed in question #37_availadle 5 Name two conditions that might cause a fuse or breaker to fail to turn off the voltage to a faulted electric device. Volta velte than rce Side

Explanation / Answer

1)

KVA ( Kilovolt ampere)

The KVA rating of transformer is referred as transformer size. As it is calculated based on KVA of Load.

3) Source current

As current is voltage divided by impedance.

Isource = Vsource/Zsource

4) The current described in 3) is Ideal source current.source.

5) The two conditions are

i) The fusing current of fuse is higher tnan current of device for proper working. Fusing current is the minimum value of current at which the Fuse melts. Since fusing current of fuse is higher it does not melts even electric device is faulted.

ii) The fuse is connected in parallel to the electric device. So, even if the fuse has broken the faulted electric device is connected with the supply.
