Explanation / Answer

2. In the solution 1 temperature increases. As exothermic reactions releases heat, thus accompanied by increase in temperature. Solution 2 is endothermic as it involves decrease in temperature which means heat is used up to proceed the reaction.

5. HCl contains H+ and Cl- ions. The presence of Cl- ions in the solution will affect the equilibrium of CoCl2 due to common ion effect. As we can see in test tube 1&2, due to presence of Cl- ions, the colour is purple or blue due to increased presence of Cl- ions. However in test tube 3 it is absent, thus colour is vastly different.

6. Both CaCl2 and CoCl2 have 2 Cl- ions in equilibrium. Thus it leads to increased concentration of Cl-. Thus colour changes to dark blue or purple.

7. AgNO3 contains Ag+ and NO3- ions. Thus obviously the presence of Ag+ will affect equilibrium as it will consume more and more Cl- from the solution. Thus the blue color of the solution changes to pink color.
