Question

please helpe answer these few questions the second page is the lab I completed I am just confused on how to find the moles HCI, the concentration on HCI, then the average which I don't understand because I only used one solution

DATA TABLE Concentration of NaOH (from stock bottle) Na Hvolume added before the largest pH ncrease - 6. I mL mL 1 IL -13% - mL mL NaOH volume added after the largest pH increase Volume of NaOH added at equivalence point mL oal oof mol mol mol mol Concentration of HCI mol/L mo/L Average [HCI

Explanation / Answer

Neutralization reaction,

NaOH + HCl --> NaCl + H2O

so,

1 mole of NaOH is neutralized with 1 mole of HCl

moles of NaOH = moles of HCl

moles of HCl = 0.001005 moles

concentration of HCl = moles of HCl/volume of HCl solution (L)

feeding the volume of original HCl solution, we can calculate concentration.

From the two trials,

average HCl concentration = add concentration of two runs/2
